Your Noctessa subscription
What you pay Noctessa, how the free trial works, what happens if a payment fails, and how to change your card or cancel.
This page is about your own subscription. Money your guests pay you is a separate thing — see Taking payments from your guests.
The plans
Noctessa comes as four venue plans plus Enterprise. They are different products for different rooms, not steps on a ladder — a bigger number does not mean "more of the same".
| Plan | Who it is for | Per month | Six months |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nights | bars, lounges, clubs — tables sold against a published event | €39 | €174 |
| Dining | restaurants, cafés, bistros — tables sold against a date and a time | €39 | €174 |
| Day & Night | venues that do both, on the same tables | €59 | €264 |
| Live | concerts and seated events — numbered seats sold as tickets | €49 | €216 |
| Enterprise | venues that need a custom web address of their own, or a link to another system they already run | — | — |
Six months is charged up front and works out cheaper per month: €29 on Nights and Dining, €36 on Live, €44 on Day & Night. Enterprise has no public price — it is quoted per venue, so ask the Noctessa team.
You pick monthly or six months when you sign up, and you can switch later. Which plan fits your room is worth a short conversation with the Noctessa team, because it decides which screens you see. Restaurants and the Dining plan and Concerts and the Live plan describe two of them in full.
Your Billing screen shows which plan you are on.
The free trial
Every account starts with a 7-day free trial. A card is taken when you sign up, but you are not charged that day, and we email you before the trial ends.
Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing. Otherwise, when the seven days are up, your card is charged for your first month — or your first six months — and your status becomes Active.
Where your billing lives
Open Billing from the menu. You will see:
- Plan — what you are on.
- Status — Trialing, Active or Past due.
- Trial ends while you are trialing, or Renews once you are active, with your Billing cadence underneath.
Change your card, switch how often you pay, or cancel
- Open Billing.
- Press Manage payment.
- You are taken to your billing portal. From there you can change your card, switch between monthly and six months, or cancel.
Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Unused time in a period is not refunded, unless the law where you are says otherwise.
To move between plans — Nights to Day & Night, say — ask the Noctessa team rather than the portal. The plan decides what your panel shows, so it is changed on our side.
If a payment fails
Cards expire and charges get declined. Here is exactly what happens, and how long you have.
- Straight away. Your status changes to Past due and an Update payment notice appears on your Billing screen — your last payment failed, update your card to avoid suspension. Everything keeps working: your admin, your bookings and your public site.
- After about two days. We email your venue's main admin address to warn you.
- After about three days. If it is still unpaid, the account is suspended.
Once suspended, signing in shows Account suspended — access is paused, and you are asked to contact the Noctessa team to reactivate. Your public pages are paused too, and visitors see a short message saying the venue is temporarily unavailable.
Nothing is deleted. Your events, bookings, guests and floor plan are all still there. Update your card and the account comes back.
The simplest advice: as soon as you see Past due, press Manage payment and fix the card. Paying inside the window stops the suspension from ever happening.
If something looks wrong
- Manage payment says there is no subscription to manage yet. That means your plan is not activated. Finish activating it, then try again.
- You cancelled but you can still sign in. That is expected. Access runs to the end of the period you paid for.
- Your trial ended and you cannot get in. The charge did not go through. Sign in and check Billing, or contact the Noctessa team.
- A screen this help centre describes is not in your menu. It may belong to another plan, or it may be switched off for your venue. Check your plan on Billing, then ask the Noctessa team.
- You are looking for guest payments. The bottom of the Billing screen links across to it: Accept guest payments at your venue → Settings → Payments.
